Irish Film Institute -IFI CINEMA CAPACITY UPDATE

IFI CINEMA CAPACITY UPDATE

Monday September 6th: From today, in line with government guidelines, all patrons over the age of 18 must be fully vaccinated and bring their EU COVID Certificate along with photo ID to present upon entering the cinema screen.

New guidelines will allow up to 60% of maximum seating capacity in cinema screens while maintaining 1-metre social distancing. New Health & Safety measures will be put in place to ensure a safe and pleasant cinema experience for all visitors.

Thanks to an increase in capacity, additional tickets for sold out screenings of Love Yourself Today and Breaking Out, screening as part of the IFI Documentary Festival, as well as The Novice from GAZE Film Festival will be released on Tuesday, September 7th at 3pm.

In the director’s statement on re-opening from June 2021, IFI Director and CEO Ross Keane said, ‘If you love film, please support your local cinemas and Irish filmmakers. It will help to ensure that our industry can continue to go from strength to strength‘. We encourage this sentiment on the return to cinema now more than ever, and thank our patrons for their ongoing support.
