June 6th, 2024: The IFI Documentary Festival is looking for original and exciting feature films from Irish filmmakers to be included as part of its 2024 edition, which will run this year from September 25th to 29th. Submissions are now open for Irish feature-length documentaries (over 60 minutes).

Now in its 23rd year, the IFI Documentary Festival has screened acclaimed Irish documentaries including In the Shadow of Beirut, Lost Boys, Tomorrow is Saturday, Henry Glassie: Field Work, and Love Yourself Today. International hits such as Smoke Sauna Sisterhood, Your Fat Friend, Minding the Gap, Love Child and The Imposter have all had their Irish premieres at the festival. The festival brings the very best of non-fiction filmmaking from home and abroad to IFI cinemas.
Short filmmakers – please note! This year, we are delighted to collaborate with the GALPAL Collective who will curate the festival’s short film programme within an exciting thematic frame. Submissions are open now on our FilmFreeway here.
