Before the IFI Film Shop moved in 2009 this is where the IFI toilets were located. The cramped facilities meant long queues after the cinema and their proximity to the street meant there were regular unwanted guests. However they weren’t all bad and despite reservations The Lavatorial Review blog (watch out for the bad language) said they were ‘pretty decent’ reviewed them in 2008.
