Early Irish Film Programme
A selection of silent made in and about Ireland in the early days of cinema – this programme includes drama, actuality and documentary films. Please note many of these films require live musical accompaniment.
Experimental Programme
This three – part programme, curated by the Experimental Film Club, traces the history of experimental film activity in Ireland; presents a selection of work by contemporary practitioners and presents a feature- length documentary Experimental Conversations exploring links between Irish and French experimental traditions.
Literary Programmes
A broad range of films which provide new perspectives on Irish writers and literary works. The selection includes documentaries profiling Irish writers and dramatised adaptations of their work.
LGBT Programme
A programme of short and feature-length films, curated in association with GAZE Film Festival, focussing on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender experience in Ireland.
Traditional Music Programme
A programme of films, archival and contemporary, includes documentary portraits of traditional musicians and lively records of Irish traditional music performance.
