GLEN HANSARD RIP

The Irish Film Institute was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Glen Hansard.

Glen appeared in some of Irish cinema’s most iconic films, including in John Carney’s Oscar-winning ‘Once’ and as Outspan in Alan Parker’s ‘The Commitments’. He also appeared in Donal O’Ceilleachair’s 2018 documentary ‘The Camino Voyage’ which was a hugely successful with audiences both at the IFI and at Irish film festivals abroad.
