IFI FAMILY FESTIVAL 2022
The IFI Family Festival is back, August 26th - 28th!
This year we are 12! IFI Family Festival celebrates its 12th year of film, fun and frolics, showing some of the best international family films and new Irish animations. We get off to a pig-tastic start with hilarious stop motion
Oink
, a Dutch-Belgian animation in which 9-year-old vegetarian Babs gets a birthday piglet from her long-lost grandfather, who has nefarious plans for the porky pet. From Germany,
Laura’s Star
is a live action adaptation, in which a young girl finds friendship in the big city from a wandering lonely star.
Last Film Show
is a glorious tribute to cinema from India, through the eyes of 9-year-old Samay. Other highlights include
Panda! Go Panda!
based on a concept by Hayao Miyazaki, our popular short film programmes, artist workshops and more.
Notes by Alicia McGivern
