Explore the best of new and classic East Asian cinema from March 26th to 29th.
The fourth East Asia Film Festival Ireland (EAFFI) continues to bring to Irish audiences the work of prominent and new filmmakers from East and South East Asia. The programme explores themes around culture, gender and history with films from Chinese, Japanese, Hong Kong, South Korean and Taiwanese cinema, to interrogate the complexity of human nature and our relationship with society. Following on from the enormous success of Parasite, the first foreign-language film to win the Best Picture Oscar, we are delighted to screen South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho’s classic The Host in a rare 35mm print.
The festival would like to thank the Arts Council, RTÉ Supporting the Arts, Dublin City Council, the Irish Film Institute, and all our sponsors and partners for their invaluable support to EAFFI.
