This small selection of recent German films, presented in association with the Goethe-Institut Irland, opens and closes with new works by two of contemporary cinema’s finest directors, Volker Schlöndorff and Andreas Dresen. The other films in the season are by emerging talents who are all worthy of attention, with the highlights including Christian Schwochow’s Cracks in the Shell and Maggie Peren’s Colour of the Ocean.
To celebrate the opening of the IFI German Film Week, we are delighted to offer 3 pairs of tickets to the opening gala and a special screening of Calm at Sea, on Thursday, May 10th at 18.40.
Competition closes on Wednesday, May 9th at 5pm. Three winners will be informed shortly after.
