Horrorthon 2018 is set to be one of the biggest years yet, with more than 30 features – including the Irish premieres of the much anticipated Suspiria and Overlord.
It’s also a bumper year for guests, headlined by the great Mick Garris (Masters of Horror) who will be here for a Q&A after the Irish premiere of his new film Nightmare Cinema as well as doing intro duty on three classics: Sleepwalkers, Critters 2 and The Fly II.
We’re also delighted to welcome Irish director Aislinn Clarke with her first feature The Devil’s Doorway on Friday October 26th, when she’ll also take part in a post-screening Q&A. In addition, the rightly acclaimed Sir Christopher Frayling will be presenting an animated lecture all about the monster Frankenstein on Oct 28th and author John Connolly will introduce a special screening of the classic Horror Express on Oct 27th.
That’s not all! We’re looking forward to welcoming guests for a number of additional screenings and introductions throughout the festival. Here’s a quick rundown: Secret Santa, Oct 27th – members of the cast and crew Book of Monsters, Oct 27th – writer Paul Butler with cast members Daniel Thrace, Johnny Vivash and Dave Jameson Killers Within, Oct 28th – directors Paul Bushe and Brian O’Neill Ravers, Oct 29th – director Bernhard Pucher
