Black 47 is out now at the IFI, and it’s breaking box office records all over Ireland (tickets).
The film is the first ever to be set during the Irish Famine and it tells the story of a soldier returning from overseas to a shattered country who finds family has been terrorised and heads out to exact revenge.
Director Lance Daly has been working on the film for a number of years and we were delighted to welcome him for a special preview screening on September 5th, followed by a Q&A with host Dr. Harvey O’Brien of UCD.
