IFI Press Release: 11th June 2015
Silent Film Icon Louise Brooks stars alongside a tasty Sunday brunch at June’s The Hangover Lounge
Spend an indulgent Sunday afternoon at the IFI on June 28th with a double bill featuring one of the silent era’s most luminous and iconic stars, Louise Brooks and enjoying a tasty brunch from the IFI Café Bar.
Brooks’ talent is showcased here in her collaborations with German director G.W. Pabst. Her portrayal of the seductive, uninhibited Lulu in Pandora’s Box (14.00), bringing ruin upon those who love her, and ultimately herself, made Brooks a star, and is arguably the role for which she is best remembered but she is equally impressive in Diary of a Lost Girl (16.00) playing the innocent, mistreated Thymian.
Build your own ideal Sunday afternoon from the following options and remember booking is in person at the IFI Box Office or on 01 679 5744 only and is not available online.
