The IFI is thrilled to welcome Ken Loach on Thursday, May 8th for a public interview with RTÉ Radio 1 Arena host, Seán Rocks. The Q&A will take place ahead of a FREE screening of Cathy Come Home that day, and will feature as part of the IFI’s two-month celebration of the work of a director who has consistently and courageously taken on issues of social injustice both in film and on television.
The retrospective will feature rare work, including the previously suppressed The Save the Children Fund Film (1969), including Up the Junction, Poor Cow, Kes, Family Life, Black Jack, The Gamekeeper, Which Side Are You On?, Looks and Smiles, Hidden Agenda (with short Time to Go), Riff-Raff, Raining Stones and Ladybird Ladybird in Part One.
Part One will run from May 3rd to 28th. Part Two will be announced in the IFI June Programme.
Tickets for Part One films are on sale now. Ken Loach Interview – Thursday, May 8th (18.30). Tickets €12 (€10 IFI Members). FREE tickets for Cathy Come Home must be reserved separately (advanced booking is advised).
