The Archive holds a broad collection of documentaries of political and sociological significance. These cover a wide spectrum of subjects of national and international interest and include Mise Eire (1959), Peter Lennon’s Rocky Road to Dublin (1968), the CBS Documentary Ireland the Tear and the Smile (1960) and Alan Gilsenan’s controversial Road to God Knows Where (1988), amongst many others. The Archive is also custodian of the Radharc film archive which comprises over 400 documentaries produced by the Radharc team between 1961 and 1996.
