June 7th, 2023: The IFI Documentary Festival is looking for original and exciting documentary films from Irish filmmakers to be included as part of its 2023 edition, which will run this year from September 27th to October 1st. Submissions are now open for Irish short documentaries (under 20 minutes) and Irish feature-length documentaries (over 60 minutes).
To apply, visit www.ifi-docfest-2023-submission-form. The deadline for submissions is 18.00 on Friday, July 7th 2023.
Now in its 22nd year, the IFI Documentary Festival has screened acclaimed Irish documentaries including Best Before Death, Henry Glassie: Field Work, and Love Yourself Today. International hits such as Minding the Gap, Rebuilding Paradise, Love Child and The Imposter have all had their Irish premieres at the festival. The 2020 festival pivoted online on IFI@Home, bringing a diverse programme to audiences nationwide. Since then we have presented hybrid opportunities, bringing the very best of non-fiction filmmaking from home and abroad to IFI cinemas and online to audiences across the country.
