May 5th, 2021: The IFI Documentary Festival is looking for original and exciting documentary films from Irish filmmakers to be included as part of its 2021 edition, which will this year run from September 22nd to 26th. The festival will be presented as a hybrid online and theatrical event. Submissions are now open for Irish short documentaries (under 20 minutes) and Irish feature-length documentaries (over 60 minutes).
To apply, visit https://ifi.ie/ifi-docfest-2021-submission-form/. The deadline for submissions is 18.00 on Friday, June 18th 2021.
Now in its 20th year, the IFI Documentary Festival has screened acclaimed Irish documentaries including Best Before Death, The Man Who Wanted To Fly, Henry Glassie: Field Work, and Mattress Men. International hits such as Minding the Gap, Rebuilding Paradise, Love Child and The Imposter have all had their Irish premieres at the festival. The 2020 festival showcased a diverse programme online on IFI@Home, and the hybrid opportunities of this 2021 edition are particularly exciting.
