My Cousin Rachel is set for release at the IFI on June 9th (book your tickets now), and we’re celebrating with prizes!
The film stars Sam Clafin as Philip, a young man who was adopted into a family as an orphan years before. He is devoted to his adopted brother who travels to Italy to combat an illness and there falls for and marries his cousin, Rachel (Rachel Weisz). Then, strange reports draw Philip to travel to Italy to meet this new member of the family…
Directed by Roger Michell (Enduring Love, Venus), the film is adpated from the 1951 book of the same name by English author Daphne du Maurier. It is full of twists and turns, and sparkling performances from the starry cast which also includes Iain Glen (Game of Thrones) and Holliday Grainger (The Finest Hours).
