Venue Hire

Situated in the centre of Dublin, the Irish Film Institute has both the facilities and experience to cater for any event, whether it is a screening, conference, meeting or seminar.

The Irish Film Institute, home of film in Ireland, opened its doors 30 years in the heart of vibrant Temple Bar. Today known for its curated independent and Irish focused programme, this landmark institution is recognised as one of the most loved, busiest and most dynamic arts organisations in the country. Centrally located in a beautifully preserved 18th century Quaker Meeting House, the IFI offers a picturesque, historic backdrop to any private event. The bright, spacious foyer full of charm, character and atmosphere, coupled with state of the art technology and newly refurbished interiors makes for a truly unique experience.

Throughout the years, we have hosted a variety of events at the IFI, working with corporate organisations, film production companies, independent filmmakers, film clubs and countless other groups. We’ve held private screenings, conferences, trainings, product launches, filming and photoshoots, AGMs, movie premieres, children’s birthday parties, and many other functions (we even had a wedding!) The IFI is a diverse venue location with flexible capabilities to suit any occasion – whether launching a brand, offering staff rewards, highlighting your own work, or arranging a personal gathering – our friendly and competent team work closely with each client to plan and deliver a tailored package for your bespoke event. In addition, we have a meeting room available for a boardroom set up, or multi-purpose space subject to requirements.

ENQUIRIES

You can find comprehensive details on our venue hire offer below. Once you have reviewed those details and know what you require, please email  hire@irishfilm.ie. We will get back to you as soon as possible but please note that a minimum of 3 weeks notice is required for any venue hire request. The more information you provide about your event and your requirements, the faster we can help. Please note that this is not a confirmed reservation. Early booking is advised to ensure the date you require is available.

We know that no two events are the same, so if you have any special requirements, we would be happy to accommodate them where possible, including catering options, bar facilities, event management and any specific running order details for your event.

As a charity, all of the income that we generate from private hires goes towards our not-for-profit non-commercial activities including our Education Programmes and preserving Ireland’s National Film Archive.
