For many years the IFI Foyer was graced with a large version of the poster for Irish Destiny. This 1926 film on the Irish independence struggle was widely thought lost until IFI located a single copy in the US Library of Congress, and is now preserved in the IFI Irish Film Archive. A copy of the original poster was just as elusive, until a copy was discovered by the Fanning family during home redocoration, used as a liner under their floor lino.
