Metal Heart is out now at the IFI, the first feature film from actor Hugh O’Conor.
It’s the tale of fraternal twin sisters Emma (Jordanne Jones) and Chantal (Leah McNamara) who couldn’t be more different and the twists and turns of their lives during one long summer when their parents go away on holiday. There’s budding romance, mysterious next door neighbours and some pitch-black ice cream.
We were lucky enough to get the chance to sit down for a chat with Jordanne and Hugh a few weeks back. Click below to hear all about their inspirations for the film, how it all came together and their own favourites from the silver screen.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Jordanne and Hugh to the IFI on Friday the 28th of June for a special Q&A screening of the new film, hosted by Roe McDermott of Hot Press Magazine. You can listen back to the delightful chat, including some audience questions, below.
Metal Heart is at the Irish Film Institute from the 28th of June 2019. Click here for tickets and info.
