FAR AND AWAY (OUTDOOR SCREENING)

Director: RON HOWARD

140 minutes, 1992, Colour

FREE

As part of the 2012 Culture Night and our IFI20 celebrations, the IFI is delighted to present an outdoor screening of that much-loved “Oirish” classic Far and Away which is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. Starring a brawny young Tom Cruise and a feisty Nicole Kidman as young Irish runaways, this elaborate production transformed much of Temple Bar into 1890s’ Boston thereby creating a lot of employment and colourful anecdotes for a generation of Irish film folk.

Join us in Meeting House Square (Temple Bar) for this special anniversary screening.

Tickets are available only in person in Meeting House Square on the night of the screening.

This film is screening as part of the 2012 Culture Night and IFI20: Celebrating 20 Years in Temple Bar.
