Continuing screenings of our 2012 French Film Project title, this film was a deserving winner of the Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival 2011. From the Dardenne brothers, it is a portrait of life in their Belgian home town of Seraing. Cyril, 11, is living temporarily in a
children’s home. Determined to find his missing father and his new red bike, his tenacity takes him and the audience on a roller-coaster journey of emotions. Learning tough lessons in rejection, the consequences of his actions and the acceptance of love, life is never easy for this stubborn boy in a life-affirming film which will tug at your heart-strings.
