Home Turf lovingly envisions what has become an endangered activity – cutting turf from bogs to provide fuel for domestic fires. The turf cutters are characterised by hard work and proclaim both their love for their work and the good health it brings them. Home Turf captures the beauty of the landscape and proceeds season by season on the bog. Made with as much love for the bog as felt by the workers, this documentary short is an elegy for the bog and the community who tend it.
