This year’s programme highlights different dimensions of the European Year for Development 2015. The Week comprises of 23 films on themes such as immigration, education, the situation of women and girls as well as peace and security. Along these big themes we see stories about growing, love and the strive for a better future. These films bring their stories from different parts of the world close to the viewer by means of drama, documentary, music and humour. Their aim is to impact and engage. After all, it is about our World, our Dignity and our Future, as the motto for the European Year for Development reads. The event is organized by the European Commission Representation in Finland and the European Parliament Information Office in Finland, in cooperation with Embassies and cultural institutes of EU member states and candidate countries. Blood Fruit screens on the 28th April.
