From Monday September 6th, in line with government guidelines, all patrons must show proof of vaccination upon entering the cinema screen. Irish Premiere. Summer, 1994. Gene and his pals are on the verge of adulthood. At the end of this weekend, they all say goodbye, put away childish things and start their college years… but not before one last murder mystery party! Amidst the costumes and theatrics, Gene is dying to reveal a secret. Will his friends' minds be open, or will their Catholic upbringings tell them otherwise? As it turns out, it isn’t just Gene who is grappling with confusing teenage desires. A fiercely enjoyable coming-of-age tale with a sparkling script and anchored by some great young performances, Dramarama is a treat for adults and adolescents alike. Nerds, theatre kids, geeky obsessives, and curious outcasts: If the best days of your life weren't secondary (and let’s face it, whose were?) then Dramarama is for you. Presented in partnership with BeLonG To. Screening as part of GAZE 2021, September 29th to October 3rd 2021.
