Lying in hospital after the birth of her new born baby girl, teenager Nicola (Jane McGrath) finds herself trying to deal with the kindness of friends in this whisper quiet vision of trauma. With her mother Jane (Derbhle Crotty) and friend Tess (Aoife Duffin) more interested in the new born, Nicola finds herself wishing for an escape from her nightmare. A sensitive short, Joy employs a gentle but incisive touch as it looks at the difficulties of responding to heart-breaking events.
