Over still images of Ballymun’s notorious tower blocks a woman tells her story of a life of deprivation, love, and personal difficulty. Her narration touches on communal solidarity and a love for her own home before turning to the social problems of the area, experienced through her violent, drug-addicted boyfriend. This unflinching narrative personalises the well-known failure of the Ballymun building project, imagining the now-demolished towers as a kind of haunted estate where memoires good and bad still linger.
