Oisín (Tadhg Murphy), a musician from Dublin, travels to Berlin with his band, buzzing with banter and the potential for adventure. He leaves behind the sadness of his mother’s death and disappointment towards his absent father. He meets Sabine (Aylin Tezel), and embarks on an enchanted odyssey visiting secret city places, sharing unexpected encounters and visiting her family home in the countryside.
The intimacy is shattered when she reveals she already has a boyfriend. Oisín is set adrift – the band has left, he is lonely, penniless and without a place to stay. With the vibrant city as a backdrop and a wholly charismatic performance from Tadhg Murphy at its core, this debut feature, written and directed by Robert Manson, is a quiet gem.
