Director of Kisses, Lance Daly, returns with this charming, low-key comedy about a family making its way in post-Celtic Tiger Ireland. Nan (Fionnuala Flanagan) is upset when her layabout son Colm (Pat Shortt), along with his niece Emma (terrific newcomer, Kelly Thornton), organises a complete spring clean of her house. Unfortunately, one of the items discarded is her old mattress where she kept her life savings. Colm’s public appeal to track the mattress down sparks a frenzy of dump-hunting in recession-hit Ireland and prompts us to think about family life, economic survival and our attitude towards the environment.
