Tickets for the Irish Film Institute’s (IFI) previously announced special screening of Forbidden Planet, with special guest George R.R. Martin, will go on sale this Thursday, July 25th. This event is presented in association with Dublin 2019: An Irish WorldCon and will take place on Saturday August 17th at 20.00.
Tickets, costing €25, for this event will only be available via the IFI’s website, www.ifi.ie – tickets will not be available in person from the IFI Box Office. A maximum of two tickets will be available per transaction.
Priority booking will take place on Thursday afternoon for Dublin 2019: An Irish WorldCon attendees and IFI Members at 14.00 IST and 16.00 IST respectively. Limited general admission tickets will be available online from 17.00 IST.
Following the screening, George R.R. Martin will be in conversation with Maura McHugh of Dublin 2019: An Irish WorldCon about Forbidden Planet and the influence such works have had on his own writing and career.

The screening of Forbidden Planet on 35mm followed by a Q&A with George R.R. Martin will take place on Saturday August 17th at 20.00.
