FISHERMEN’S FRIENDS (WILD STRAWBERRIES)

Director: Chris Foggin

112 mins, UK, 2019, Digital

This film screened on Friday 26th & Wednesday  31st July 2019.

While the fish out of water trope is nothing new in cinema, it gets refreshed here by Daniel Mays as Danny, tough music exec extraordinaire, waylaid on a
stag weekend in a Cornish fishing village and pranked into convincing the local fishermen’s sea shanty group that they could record a hit single.
Based on the real-life chart success of the Port Isaac acapella group, this heartfelt and upbeat film is sure to get your feet tapping.

Wild Strawberries is our film club for over 55s. Tickets: €4.45 including regular tea/coffee before the event. If you happen to look younger, please don’t take offence if we ask your age.
