Thirteen-year-old girls Bobo and Klara are not afraid to be different. Undeterred by their lack of musical ability and by those who tell them punk is dead, they decide to start a band. Impressed by fellow outcast Hedwig’s solo guitar performance at a school concert, the girls convince her to join them and soon the mutinous trio are inseparable. Fun, friendship and great sounds in this joyous celebration of youth, music and rebellion.
This screening will be preceded by a new short film, A Girl’s Best Friend, by Claire Carroll. The film won Best Animation at this year’s Galway Film Festival.
