In April the IFI presents its inaugural monthly film club meeting, The Critical Take.

Each month we will pre-select three films, ranging from new releases to old classics, and then gather for a discussion at the end of the month, giving you time to catch some or all of the films before the forum takes place.

In April our three chosen films are:
Werner Herzog’s Cave of Forgotten Dreams
Jerzy Skolimowski’s Essential Killing
Bernardo Bertolucci’s re-released Before the Revolution

In addition to this, each month we will have three industry experts on hand to also give their opinions on each of the films, before opening it out to the floor for a wider discussion. Joining us on our April panel will be film critic Paul Lynch, film producer Katie Holly from Blinder Films and IFI Cinemas Manager Peter Walsh.
