With the galaxy at war, Palpatine’s hold over the Senate grows. Fearing for the safety of the pregnant Padmé, Anakin also falls under his control, with consequences tragic to the Jedi Order and to the Republic, leading to the emergence of Darth Vader and the formation of the Empire.
