Frankenstein is the next presentation in National Theatre Live, a series of live performances from the National Theatre London broadcast onto cinema screens around the world. Oscar winner Danny Boyle (127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire) returns to the theatre to direct this visionary new production, Frankenstein by Nick Dear, based on the novel by Mary Shelley.

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker (Benedict Cumberbatch). Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature (Jonny Lee Miller), increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.

Suitable only for 15yrs+

Presented by Irish Film Institute in association with Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival with the international support of AVIVA.
