Irish Film Institute -Krampack

Krampack

Sixteen year old Dani (Fernando Ramallo) and his friend Nico (Jordi Vilches in a brilliant debut) are spending a couple of weeks without their parents at a seaside house. After bouts of smoking marijuana, eating junk food and drinking, the boys engage in innocent sexual games, including ‘krampack’, a Spanish euphemism for masturbation. The two boys begin to forge a sexual relationship until a couple of local girls enter their lives. Very frank and refreshingly open in its treatment of its young protagonists’ behaviour, director Cese Gay’s film explores issues of friendship and sexual orientation with considerable honesty and humour.
