The Bealtaine film tour, in conjunction with Access Cinema, kicks off at the IFI. This year’s film is the hit comedy/drama starring Meryl Streep as chef, author and TV personality Julia Childs and her huge fan, blogger and culinary enthusiast Julie Powell. Based on her real blog, Julie takes on the challenge of cooking her way through Childs’ first book. Running parallel is the story of how Childs first got into French cuisine and went on to make it her life. Plenty of laughs, warmth and foodie passion in this hit film.
