Simon (Stanislas Merhar) lives a secluded but privileged existence with his lover Ariane (Sylvie Testud) in his wealthy grandmother’s Paris apartment. Simon’s social and emotional isolation creates a climate of obsessive behaviour. Or is his growing obsession the cause of his isolation? Encouraging Ariane to experiment sexually, he becomes increasingly paranoid as he senses her ever-distancing orbit.
