IFI & UNAPOLOGETIC: BLACK AND IRISH SHORTS

Recent years has seen a growing presence of Black- Irish directors/creatives putting a mark in the creative scene in Ireland. The selected shorts are featured as part of the celebration of Black History Month as it acts as a reminder of the importance of including these valuable voices which are spearheading change in the Irish film industry. The selected shorts call for the need for more inclusion in the film sector as these directors/actors are showcasing the power of inclusivity and telling new stories from a distinctive Black perspective. A perspective that is often left out when talking about contemporary Ireland. These shorts will inspire the audience in the importance of unheard narratives and inspire future conversations on the need for diversity in film.
