Directed by Her is an annual event held at the Irish Film Institute to celebrate International Women’s Month. This includes a curated short form programme with works directed by Irish women and those within the FLINTA* community, ranging from drama, documentary and animation to music videos, experimental shorts and comedy. A post-screening panel discussion will be followed by an evening reception.

Directed by Her is spearheaded by The GALPAL Collective. The GALPAL Collective is an arts and media organisation dedicated to the creation, support and celebration of works by queer people, people of colour, migrants and women.  They host events and launch initiatives that serve a mission of community cultivation and support within the Irish arts and media industries.

This year Directed by Her is supported by Screen Ireland through the Audience Development Fund.
