With Elizabeth Taylor’s oft-requested original classic film unavailable, we are showing the popular follow-up film in which the heroine, Sarah Brown, is played by Tatum O’Neal.

In this much-loved family film, American Sarah comes to live with her aunt, Velvet Brown (Nanette Newman), who tells her that she had entered the Grand National with her horse The Pie. They had won but were disqualified. The Pie gives birth to a foal which Sarah names Arizona Pie. Under the stern tuition of Captain Johnson, she trains and is good enough to join the Olympic equestrian team. Success and romance follow for the young horsewoman in this heart-warming family film which also stars the wonderful Christopher Plummer.

Directed by Bryan Forbes who came to fame with another family classic, Whistle Down the Wind and, later, The Slipper and the Rose.
