Following a professional, and much publicised embarrassment involving a malfunctioning and hugely expensive ocean cleaning device, entrepreneur Jeanne (Blanche Gardin) finds herself facing a mountain of unpayable debt. Struggling to suppress the taunts of her inner voice, which we are privy to in the animated form of a goading stick figure, Jeanne decamps to Lisbon to sell the family home where she and her brother experienced a fractious relationship with their late mother. At the airport, she runs into Jean (Laurent Lafitte), a whimsical and somewhat intrusive former schoolmate. What will her trolling inner voice make of their flirtations?
