Envied by men, desired by women, half the size but twice the man, Weng Weng is Agent OO, a highly trained and respected secret agent. Called into action when a brilliant scientist is captured by (what else?) an Evil Organisation, this three feet tall lethal weapon is charged with the task of ensuring that villainy gets the short end of the stick. All the elements of the Bond movies are lovingly copied: the parade of beautiful women who find Agent OO irresistible, the hi-tech gadgetry, the numerous face-offs with multiple henchmen (the fight scenes have to be seen to be believed, if only for the number of kicks to the crotch); and, of course, the hysterically overwrought dialogue (sample: ‘They must be exterminated, and I mean lethally!’). All the familiar elements are thrown gloriously out of kilter by the sheer disparity between the spy and the world he inhabits in this cult item from the Philippines.
