In collaboration with Temple Bar Cultural Trust’s craft workshop programme for Bealtaine, we are showing this beautiful film about a young woman who wins a camera in a lottery. In early 1900s Sweden, a time of unrest, poverty and social change, Maria realises that the camera gives her an opportunity to view the world while she endeavours to bring up her family of six children. A thought-provoking and sensitive film about the impact of art on an individual’s life.
