DJANGO

Director: Sergio Corbucci

87 minutes, U.S.A., 1966, Colour

To celebrate Quentin Tarantino’s return to form with Django Unchained we offer two screenings to coincide with its release: Django and Blazing Saddles.

One of the major inspirations for QT’s latest, Sergio Corbucci’s 1966 spaghetti Western Django tells of a coffin-dragging gunslinger seeking revenge on the bloodthirsty gang led by Major Jackson, who murdered his wife. Falling in with prostitute Maria, he gets involved in a scheme to heist gold from an army fort, leading to copious amounts of violence and bloody mayhem.

Mel Brooks’ Blazing Saddles will screen on February 9th at 18.00.
