Dead Man’s Seat, The

A newspaper reporter in his thirties (Pedro Oliveira), twice married and twice divorced, leaves his lover’s house at daybreak. Suddenly, his path is crossed by a couple, an argument, a death, a woman who disappears leaving a revolver in his hands. And his life will never be the same again.
Using a classical style, director Antonio Pedro Vasconcelos (Jaime) created an intriguing film where a complex plot is highly enriched by the psychological intricacies of the characters.
Portugal, 1984. English subtitles. Colour. 118 minutes.
