Filmmaker Salvatore (Toto) returns to his home village for the funeral of a dear friend, local projectionist Alfredo who taught him the magic of cinema as a child. Growing up fatherless, Toto looked to the older man for advice, becoming his eyes when Alfredo could no longer see. Returning brings memories of his childhood back, with its loves, losses and regrets.
