ARCHIVE AT LUNCHTIME: DOUBLE BILL (SEP 2015 – FREE EVENT)

Join us for free screening of films from the IFI Irish Film Archive. Simply collect your tickets at IFI Box Office. (See weekly schedule for programme times.)

This month we present three films, newly restored in a collaboration supported by the BAI Archiving Scheme between the Radharc Trust, IFI, RTÉ and Screen Scene, and selected from the Radharc Collection of over 400 films made in 75 countries between 1962 and 1996. 

Programme 1
THE YOUNG OFFENDER
First film made within St. Patrick’s Institution includes interviews with offenders, staff and Minister for Justice, Charles J. Haughey. FILM INFO: 27 mins, 1963

Programme 2
MEN’S SODALITY
Recruiting members for a confraternity in Dublin’s inner city. FILM INFO: 17 mins, 1962

HOLIDAYS IN IRELAND
Filmed in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, a tongue-in-cheek exploration of the morality of Irish holidaymakers. FILM INFO: 10 mins, 1963
