Join us for FREE lunchtime screenings of films from the IFI Irish Film Archive. Simply collect your tickets at the IFI Box Office. This month we continue our annual collaboration with Trad Fest.

FLEADH ‘73

Musician Tony MacMahon interviews many of the 60,000 revellers who took to the streets of Listowel for the 1973 Fleadh Cheoil. (Directed by Gerry Murray.)

PROGRAMME 2: 

SLOGADH ‘77   

A record of Gael Linn’s Slogadh Festival which in 1977 attracted hundreds of young people to Salthill, Co. Galway for the annual celebration of modern and traditional music, theatre, song and dance. President Patrick Hillery was present to award the prizes. (Directed by Joe O’Donnell.)

As part of Trad Fest 2014, we’ll also be showing Aisling Gheal on January 25th.

These screenings take place at lunchtime on Saturdays. Please check at the IFI Box Office or here for times. Programme 1 and Programme 2 screen separately on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout January also.
