AFTERNOON TALK: JOHN F. KENNEDY VISIT ON FILM

On the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s visit, Dr. Harvey O’Brien (Film Studies lecturer, UCD) will give an illustrated talk on Thursday, June 27th looking at representations of the visit on film and how a nostalgic narrative of national pride at the homecoming of an exalted son glossed over the political dimension of the trip.
