2004 marks the Abbey’s 100th anniversary, and the theatre is organising a number of programming strands to celebrate the occasion throughout the year. The IFI is happy to be involved in these celebrations, and the first such event is a screening of Thomas Vinterberg’s film Festen to complement a theatre production of the film to be mounted at the Abbey from January 28 by the Polish group Teatr Rozmiatosc. Fintan O’Toole will also convene a debate on the play at the Abbey on January 31.
